The season opener in Paris never ceases to amaze the visitors with various cars of the highest quality. For European held auctions the results at RM, Bonhams and Artcurial were acceptable, with a sell-through rate of 68% however not great. One of the highlights at the auctions was probably the 1931 Invicta 4/1/2-Litre S-Type Low Chassis Sports “Scout” in outstanding original condition, which sold well for € 1,610,000.
We are surely biased but Lukas Hunis stand with several exceptional 8C Alfa Romeos was a great sight at the fair. Additionally the Ferrari 166 MM Touring Le Mans Berlinetta on Mario Linkes and Franco Meiners stand was one of the highlights as well as the Bugatti Type 59 shown at the Gooding & Company stand to promote “The Passion of a Lifetime” sale in London later this year.
