2017 already meant the 20th edition of the amazing Goodwood Revival meeting. Since the very venue in 1998, the event delivers exciting historic racing on the highest level. Unfortunately, the number of original cars has significantly decreased over the years due to the enormous increase in value of certain types. Nevertheless, we have decided to participate in the Brooklands Trophy with our Alfa Romeo 8C Monza – a race for pre-war sportscars built until 1939.

Since the hard-won victory of Max in 2012 with a back-then, relatively weak car, the 8C was completely technically revised by Jim Stokes Workshop. Therefore, Moritz felt well-equipped for a successful race this year. On a damp track he achieved a 6th place in qualifying on Saturday. On Sunday however, he already had to retire with continuing misfires after three laps. What a pity – with Niklas Halusa winning the race in another 8C, it could have been a very exciting race for Moritz. Nevertheless, congratulations to the young Austrian for a well-deserved victory.
